Yesterday as I approached the cashier to pay for my lunch, I passed a newspaper with a picture of Kurt Warner, starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals on the front.  It made me pause.  I’ve always been a fan of Warner’s.  The former NFL and Superbowl MVP is a good family man, the NFL’s favorite [...]

I am on a roll this week.  Two of my fellow bloggers and new friends have nominated me for awards.  YAY!
The Premio Award:
My good friend, Smart Mouth Broad over at Words of Wisdom from a Smart Mouth Broad has honored me with an award.  Just what she is thinking, I’m not sure.  I suspect alcohol is [...]

The day our son H was born was truly a beautiful day.  Spending time with him and holding him for the very first time was incredible.  Actually carrying him in my arms as we left the hospital was a dream come true.
Two days after H’s birth we once again met Marianne at the hospital.  Our [...]

The day our son H was born, was truly a beautiful day, yet our adventure had just begun.  That evening, after watching an incredible sunset, Hubby and I went out to dinner and spent the evening talking about our son and looking forward to the next day when we would see him again.

A Beautiful Day

In August of 2006, after an 18-month wait, Hubby and I received THE CALL from the adoption agency.  Our social worker, Marianne called to tell us that a woman is expecting a baby boy in October.  She explained all of the particulars, as she knew them about Penny and her situation.

Clinton Portis was everywhere, gaining yard after yard, even when [...]

As many of you know, I am a huge sports fan, particularly football, specifically the Washington Redskins.  Any given Sunday during football season, you’ll find me camped out in front of the TV watching my Redskins or any football game, for that matter.  I can definitely hold my own in NFL trivia and yes I [...]

Well, my Washington Redskins made several roster moves this week.  Fingers crossed that these moves will help improve the team.
Notable is that the 3 players added to the team, punter Ryan Plackemeier, safety Mike Green and former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander, are all former Seahawks.  Some may find this concerning, but I find it refreshing.  [...]

Knuckleheads Strike Again!

My sister-in-law, Marti took The Boy and her son, Tripp to the movies on Monday.  Tripp is 9 years old.  In spite of the fact that he is an annoying, spoiled rotten brat, I try really hard to like him.  Really hard.  Thus far my efforts have been unsuccessful.  For the record, I try really hard [...]
