I’ve been stealing from my friend, Carol over at Call Me Carol quite a bit lately.  And here I go again.  Thanks for the blogging material, Carol!!!
Here’s what I pilfered today…A daybook entry, so to speak.
Outside my window…What window?  I’m at work in my lovely cubicle.
I am thinking…that I should get started on my work, [...]

The Boy is tasked with writing a report for his music class.  The theme is 1970’s recording artists.  Because he likes the songs in the title of this post and listens to them on his iPod, he selected The Partridge Family for his report.
I didn’t have the heart to tell him that The Partridge Family [...]

Yesterday I had a dental appointment.  It went as expected, which was not good.  I have gum issues and the action plan to resolve it is that I’ll have my wisdom teeth extracted on March 17th and then will get measured for Invisalign on April 2nd.  All of this will supposedly help my gums.
Oh Joy.

Bucket List

I stole this from my friend Carol over at Call Me Carol.
It’s a Bucket List, so to speak.  (That movie was great, by the way).  Anyway, Carol’s version of the Bucket List is Facebook’s version, where instead of the Bucket List being the things you want to accomplish, this one is past tense and a [...]

Happy Birthday!

Today my baby boy turned 12 years old.
How did this happen?  It seems like just yesterday when the nurse held him up for me to see.  Those great big eyes looked back at me and I was smitten.  He was 7 pounds and 2 ounces of pure cuteness.

and [...]

Laughter Is The Best Medicine

As the mother of a toddler and a tween, I’m privy to some really great jokes.  Okay…they’re not so great.  In fact, they are quite goofy and not particularly funny.  And most of the time I don’t “get” The Boy’s jokes.  That’s okay, because he NEVER “gets” my jokes.
Here are some oldies, but goodies (more [...]

Knitting 101

My friend and neighbor, Joanne, has graciously offered to teach me how to knit.  I’ve been interested in learning for a while now.  Especially as I’ve noticed the recent enthusiasm women are showing for knitting.  My friend, Kelly, is an especially talented knitter who only started knitting a short while ago.  She loves it and [...]

My good friend, SMB, over at Words of Wisdom of a Smart Mouth Broad, has come up with a fantabulous idea and proposed that we all share hints on how to save money during these difficult economic times.  She’s “coined” this as “Money in the Bank”.  Several bloggers have jumped on her money-saving wagon and [...]

In honor of Valentine’s Day (and at the risk of making my sister – The Younger Prettier One – throw up), today’s post will be mushy.  That means, I’ll be blogging about my wonderful husband, Blue Eyes.
TYPO…if you’re reading, you may want to stop HERE.
Yes, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.  Yet there will be no grand [...]
