Today is H’s first day at preschool. Blue Eyes and I both took him this morning to help him get settled. Plus, we have the fun chore of checking the menu and leaving special requests with the cook and teachers because of H’s allergies. Everything went smoothly and there wasn’t a tear in sight when we left. Oops, yes there was. Except that it wasn’t H crying, it was me. My little baby is going to Preschool. Yes, I cried.
The school has a webcam so we can peek in at H throughout the day. I can’t stay away from it. I’ve logged on no less than a dozen times already. He’s having fun each and every time, yet I keep checking. I’m a sad case indeed.
The Boy is on vacation with his father, so I’m already missing him. Add to that – H’s first day at preschool and the fact that today would be my mother’s 68th birthday – and you’ll know why I’m a mess today. Just pitiful, I know.
Anyway, H had a great weekend. He has been golfing like crazy. He golfs from the time he gets up in the mornings until he goes to bed at night. He golfs in the yard, the family room, the deck and the screened porch. He’s crazy for golfing. He even watches golf on TV.
He has started referring to himself as “Tiger H”. Here’s a shot of “Tiger H” in action:
Tiger H – Our little lefty golferYes, his shorts are on backwards. He wanted to get dressed “all by myself”, so who am I to argue?
I have set up a cup for him to putt into. On Friday, he started doing this little celebration dance each time he sank a putt or made a nice hit. We didn’t teach it to him, he noticed it when watching Tiger in a golf tournament or on the commercial where he does it. It’s Tiger’s “lean back – arm pump” celebration. Here’s a picture of Tiger H celebrating:
Tiger H CelebrationWe can’t always get outside for the golfing, so sometimes Tiger H is forced to practice in the family room. Apparently, family room golfing is dangerous. Here’s a shot of Tiger H in action. He’s got the good looking golfing shorts on. Not sure what’s up with the helmet.
Tiger H – Golfing is dangerous!
Oh that is precious!
I’m figuring the helmet is for when the ball bounces back at him off the wall:)
LOL! Maybe we should all have our helmets on!
He is adorable. Wow, I can’t believe the school has a webcam. It must be great to be able to see him, but I can see how it could be addicting.
I cried when my baby went to kindergarten; I think it may be a requirement.
And then top it all off with reflecting on your mom, and you are having a very emotional day!
Yes, the webcam is addicting! I cried when my oldest went to preschool, kindergarten, 1st grade and even 6th grade. I told him I’ll cry again when he enters high school and then when he goes to college. It’s just what I do.
He’s so darn cute! I love that he has a helmet on while golfing..too cute.
Thank you!
Okay, now write this down. Get ready to be supported for the rest of your life! The little southpaw is going pro before you can march him into middle school. I’m guessing.
I wish!
I got a little misty eyed thinking of you thinking about your mum. I hope you’re feeling a little less emotional
H is the cutest little cutey in the whole world! Wouldn’t it be great if he’s able to earn a nice income from doing something he loves so much?
I knew you’d understand. Thank you!
Like said somewhere else, I need his autograph before he gets so rich and famous he doesn’t have time for the “little people”.
He’s just so cute and what a great comfort that must be to be able to log on anytime and check what’s going on in his little world. More child centers should do that!
Way to go Tiger H!!! Woot!
Thank you! I don’t know how comforting it is to log on and see that little devil being bad!
OMG! Tiger H is the cutest golfer ever! I love the celebration dance!
Hugs to you on this special day. I know how hard it is. You know she’s proud of the woman you are. (((Fancy)))
Thank you!!
I left a little something for you over at my place.
