I was supposed to host a Lia Sophia jewelry party on Saturday. You see, Kelly Without A Net has just started out as a Lia Sophia Consultant. I wasn’t familiar with the jewelry, but when Kelly mentioned that she was starting her business, I decided to check it out. I pulled up the website, checked [...]

The Good News:
The Washington Redskins beat the Superbowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers in a preseason game on Saturday night, 17 – 13.
The Bad News:
Washington did it with their third stringers, which only tells us that Washington’s bench warmers can beat Pittsburgh’s bench warmers. Washington’s 1st string offense looked anemic once again.

I took my first knitting class last night at our community recreation center. My neighbor and friend, Joanne took the class with me (she’s nice like that – she’s an experienced knitter, but I invited her to join me and she did). Joanne also invited her friend from work. I’ve lost my Mojo.
I was on vacation for 2 weeks and I’ve forgotten and/or neglected everything. And I didn’t really go on vacation! It was more of a STAYcation, but at least I wasn’t at the office.
I’ve lost my blogging mojo, knitting mojo, reading mojo and pretty much have lost my “accomplishing anything mojo.” What’s [...]

It’s certainly nothing fancy, but I’m pleased with my first big knitting project. Far from perfect, but it has a wonderful drape and is very soft and lightweight. . . perfect for a summer baby. I finished the blanket on June 29th and wouldn’t you know it, Zachariah was born that same day. I can’t wait to meet [...]
