It’s Potty Time

H will be 3 years old next month.  No, he’s not potty trained yet.
He’ll use the potty at preschool, but only at the pre-designated potty times.
He never ever ever ever ever uses the potty at home.
BUT…
Each and every time we go out somewhere…he tells me that he has to use the potty.  And each time, [...]

NFL Week 3

I went 9 – 7 again last week with my picks and am now 18-14 on the season.  Not bad, but not that good.
Here are my picks for week 3 in the NFL:
Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) – The Eagles are riddled with injuries at key positions.  McNabb is unlikely to start [...]

Hats Off!

Donating to a good cause feels so good and I’ve still got the itch!  This time we’re knitting and crocheting hats, scarves, and mittens/gloves to donate to our area’s Coalition for the Homeless.
I found a crochet pattern for a cute little ruffled hat and decided to give it a try.  I used Caron’s Simply Soft [...]

On Saturday, Blue Eyes was out of town, so just H and I went to The [...]

NFL Week 2

I went 9 – 7 with my picks last week.  Not too bad considering there’s only about 2% science behind my picks.  But I’ll take all of the credit for predicting that the Bears would lose.  I just wish I’d stated what I was thinking about Jay Cutler’s quarterbacking skills, cuz you all would have [...]

On Saturday evening I attended my mother’s 50th high school reunion.  Mom passed away 6 years ago, but dad received an invitation to the event.  I found out about the reunion from him when he mentioned it nonchalantly several weeks ago, “Received an invitation to mom’s reunion.  I won’t go, of course.”
I got a feeling [...]

I’m Addicted…

to knitting and crocheting for charity!
I can’t stop myself.  As of Friday, our organization had completed 842 granny squares to be made into baby blankets for charity.  32 blankets have been put together and we’re closing in on our goal of 50 baby blankets.
Personally, I’ve knitted and crocheted dozens of squares and have sewn together [...]

20 Years

If I can just make it to Friday without getting fired, laid off or hit by a bus, I will celebrate my 20-year anniversary with The Company.  Wow!  It’s difficult to believe that it has been 20 years.  So much has changed, both with me and The Company.  I wrote here  about my ups and [...]
