The Kiss Of Death – AKA – The NFL’s Sexiest Head Coaches

In August 2008, I wrote about The NFL’s Sexiest Head Coaches for the 2008-2009 NFL season. Let’s check in and see how these coaches are doing one year later.

Hmmm…are you sensing a pattern yet?

JACK DEL RIO:

Del Rio is still the Head Coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags finished out the 2008 season with a 5-11 record after going 11-5 in 2007. 2009 is not shaping up to look much better for Del Rio and the Jags as their record stands at 2-3 following an abyssmal 41-0 shutout at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks last week. Things aren’t too bright in J-ville – good looking coach or not.

And finally…

JIM ZORN:

Zorn’s Redskins finished the 2008 season at an even 8-8. This season, the team is at 2-3, having lost to the previously undefeated Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers, while barely squeeking out wins against 2 of the worst teams in the NFL, Tampa Bay and St. Louis. Many don’t look for Zorn to make it past the bye week with his job in tact. Time will tell. But I’m not holding out much hope for Zorn, especially with the Nothing Fancy curse hanging over his head.

So…I have learned that I must be careful with my Sexiest NFL Coaches selections. I have power and I must use it wisely and to my advantage as a Redskins fan. As a result…I give you my Top 4 selections for the 2009 NFL’s Sexiest Head Coaches.

NFL’s SEXIEST HEAD COACHES – 2009 EDITION:

(4) ANDY REID – Head Coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, a division rival of the Redskins.

(3) TOM COUGHLIN – Head Coach of the New York Giants, a division rival of the Redskins.

(2) BILL BELLICHIK – Head Coach of the New England Patriots…you know…the team that wins ALL THE TIME.

(1) WADE PHILLIPS – Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys, a division rival of the Redskins and my all around least favorite team in the league.

Oh, you mean Bill Bellichik, the coach that CHEATS?

I’d give anything to be able to echo back the least favorite team in the league sentiment about your beloved Redskins, but I have to reserve that place of honor for the Eagles. The Redskins can be second on the list, closely followed by the Giants.
